Brewers Association Hires Lacey Gautier as New VP of Meetings and Events
|Just in time for today’s kickoff of the Great American Beer Festival in Denver, Colorado. the Brewers Association has announced the addition of Lacey Gautier as its new Vice President of Meetings and Events. In her new role, Gautier will oversee all the association’s events, conferences, and competitions, including the marquee Craft Brewers Conference™ & BrewExpo America®; Great American Beer Festival® ; World Beer Cup® and National Homebrew Competition.
“I am thrilled to join the Brewers Association team,” said Gautier, in a press release. “The BA has a longstanding history of highly successful events, and I look forward to joining a team committed to curating highly transformative and exciting experiences. With the Great American Beer Festival right around the corner, I am excited to start my career with the BA during such a fun and festive time.”
Gautier is an event leader with over 15 years of professional experience developing and executing events. Most recently, she was vice president of events for Informa Markets’ natural products portfolio where she was responsible for overseeing the strategy, development, growth, and execution of five events annually, ranging from executive summits to trade shows, most notably the Natural Products Expo, with 70,000+ attendees and 3,000+ exhibiting brands.
As Gautier steps into her new role, she does so at a time when revenue from the Brewers Association events are struggling. Over the past six years, attendance at the Great American Brewers Festival has struggled with sessions not selling out. This magnified since the pandemic and this year’s GABF was reduced from four sessions to just three.
“We are pleased to welcome Lacey to the Brewers Association team,” said Bob Pease, President and CEO of the BA, in a press release. “I’m excited for Lacey to contribute her expertise and fresh eyes to shaping the future of our existing events and identifying new scalable ways to engage with our members and prospective members.”
Gautier is based in Boulder, Colorado and started in her new role at the Brewers Association last week on October 1, 2024.
