Celebrate Craft Cider at Artisans by Cider Summit
|With Oregon Cider Week returning from January 13 – 21, 2024, this means that the folks behind Cider Summit will host a new cider festival, Artisans by Cider Summit, during the week plus long event! There will be plenty of cider makers in town during the week as Portland will also to be hosting CiderCon, a cider industry conference.
Artisans will bring together a well curated list of cider makers from around the globe and will take place on Saturday, January 20, 2024 from 1:00 – 4:00pm in the Greatroom at Leftbank Annex in Portland’s Rose Quarter. Capacity is limited, and attendees must be ticketed specifically for their selected session. Tickets are $75 each (plus fees) and include a souvenir glass and a tasting pass allowing attendees to sample each of the ciders. Tickets must be purchased online, in advance at http://www.cidersummit.com.
Attendees will enjoy tasting over 40 selections crafted by 20 of the world’s leading cider producers, each recognized for benchmark quality in their respective regions. Most will be on hand to guide guests through the tasting process and share details about each cidery’s unique methods and history. The tasting will also include food samples from several carefully curated local vendors whose products beautifully complement these exceptional ciders.
“The Artisans event is a unique addition to our festival line-up, designed to provide cider and wine connoisseurs an elevated tasting experience,” noted Cider Summit founder Alan Shapiro. “This is a rare opportunity to showcase cidermaking artistry from around the world. We look forward to welcoming CiderCon visitors as well as Northwest cider enthusiasts and wine drinkers looking to expand their palates.”
