Stammtisch and Prost! Portland Celebrate Oktoberfest

Two of Portland’s German influenced establishments, Stammtisch and Prost! Portland, will host Oktoberfest celebrations over the coming weeks. First up will be Oktoberfest held at Stammtisch from September 16 – 18. Then from September 30 – October 2, Oktoberfest will take place at Prost! Portland.

Stammtisch will host its 3rd Annual Oktoberfest block party when it transforms itself into a Bavarian themed beer garden over the weekend of September 16. NE Flanders out in front of Stammtisch will be closed down and be fitted with long wooden Oktoberfest style tables direct from Munich, Bavaria. The beer garden will also feature plenty of games including hammerschlagen, cornhole, ladder ball, and more.

Also outside, Chef Graham Chaney will be grilling German specialties all weekend. The menu will include an Oktoberfest items such as roasted chicken, pork loin, bratwurst, currywurst, pretzels and more. Prices will range from $7.00 to $13.00.

To make this Oktoberfest even more authentic Stammtisch will be serving a few of the Oktoberfest beers that are served during Munich’s celebration that includes festbiers from Hofbrau, Spaten, and Paulaner along with other festbiers from Andechs, Ayinger, Schlenkerla, Warsteiner, Weltenberger, Weihenstephan, Benediktiner, and Dinkel Acker. Stammtisch will offer these German beers on tap both inside and outside, along with a commemorative 2016 Stammtisch Oktoberfest ceramic mugs, glass steins and boots available for purchase (filled or unfilled). Beer prices begin at $5.00 for a .5 liter and a full 1 liter just like is served at Oktoberfest for $10.00.

Prost! Portland will host its 7th Annual Oktoberfest over the weekend of September 30. On Friday the festivities will be contained inside and on the patio at Prost!. Then on Saturday and Sunday Prost! will turn its neighboring Mississippi Marketplace into a Bavarian themed beer garden.

All weekend Prost! will be serving eight German Oktoberfest beers on tap both inside and out plus from a beer trailer on Saturday and Sunday in the beer garden. Prost! will also be selling Oktoberfest ceramic mugs, glass steins and boots. Beer prices begin at $5.00 for a .5 liter and $10.00 for a 1 litter.

The Prost! team will also be taking to the grill outside, serving up a special menu of bratwurst, salads, roast chicken, pork, pretzels and more. Food prices range from $7.00 to $13.00.
