2 Towns Ciderhouse and Columbia Distributing Team Up To Fight Hunger
|Corvallis, Ore. – September 5, 2017 – 2 Towns Ciderhouse and Columbia Distributing are teaming up to help fight hunger in the Northwest with a program to support food banks in Oregon and Washington during the month of September. The campaign will support the Oregon Food Bank with a $2 donation for every case of canned 2 Towns Cider purchased at participating supermarkets. In Washington, the campaign will support Northwest Harvest with a $2 donation per case of BrightCider cans or case of Hollow Jack bottles purchased at participating supermarkets. The 2 Towns and Columbia Distributing donation will help Oregon Food Bank and Northwest Harvest in their mission to eliminate hunger through helping people in need meet their nutritional needs, providing nutrition education, and by addressing systemic issues that contribute to hunger in our communities.
“Choosing between medication and groceries, going to work hungry, or knowing that Friday’s school lunch will be the last good meal before Monday—these are all very real issues faced by many people in the Northwest,” said Lee Larsen, founding cider maker and CEO at 2 Towns CIderhouse. “Oregon Food Bank and Northwest Harvest fill such a vital need, and go beyond that by working to help set policies that reduce the disparities that contribute to hunger. We at 2 Towns and Columbia Distributing are inspired by the work these organizations do and are proud to support them.”
