PORTLAND, Ore. – October 14, 2016 – Square Mile Cider Company today announced that it is giving away a tiny house in a sweepstakes that will run from now to the end of April 2017. The house – from Northwest-based Tiny Mountain Houses – is the “Little Tahoma Peak” model, which is a modern, 210-square-foot home with a full bathroom, kitchen, and a loft with room for a queen-sized bed.

“Square Mile Cider Company was inspired by the original pioneers of the Pacific Northwest, who traveled the Oregon Trail to claim their square mile of land and build their new home from scratch. The increase in the popularity of tiny homes captures some of that spirit, and we thought this giveaway would be a great way to share our brand with others,” said Square Mile Cider Co. Brand Manager Steven Hallstone.

The tiny house will be on display from 4:00 – 7:00 p.m. on October 26, 2016, at Pioneer Courthouse Square, where Square Mile Cider Co. will be pouring samples of their award-winning ciders and interested folks can enter the sweepstakes on site. The cidery will also be previewing a new seasonal cider, a ginger pear hard cider that will be launching in early 2017.

The tiny house contest is open from now to April 30, 2017, to legal residents of the United States currently living in Alaska, Arizona, California, Colorado, Idaho, Missouri, Nevada, Oregon, Texas, or Washington, who are at least 21 years old at the time of entry. Interested individuals can visit their local retailer for text-to-win information or visit blocsweep.com/tinyhouse.

Square Mile Cider’s two offerings – Spur & Vine, a hopped dry cider, and The Original – are available in 11 states in six packs of 12-ounce bottles. The Portland-based cidery is a top-10 selling cider brand nationwide, and the number one Pacific Northwest-made cider brand in the Northwest.

About Spur & Vine
Spur & Vine puts a Northwest twist on our classic American hard cider. Starting with the same apples and yeast as The Original, we added a generous amount of Galaxy hops during cold conditioning. Since no heat is applied to the hops, our cider takes on flavors and aromas of peach, melon, and honeysuckle but none of the traditional hop bitterness. Spur & Vine is best served straight up to allow the complexities of this cider to shine. ABV: 6.7%

About The Original
The Original is a classic American hard cider.  Our cider is made from three apple varieties rooted in American culture – Red Delicious, Yellow Delicious and Jonagolds. We chose a lager beer yeast for fermentation to create a cider that perfectly balances sweet and tart with a light, crisp apple flavor and a clean, refreshing finish.  The Original is best over ice to complement the cool, crisp apple flavor. ABV: 6.7%
