Skagit Landing & Chuckanut Brewery Summer Beer Dinner
A new beer dinner is set to take place next week in the heart of the Skagit Valley in Northwest Washington. Skagit Landing is pleased to partner with its almost next-door neighbor, Chuckanut Brewery, for a special Summer Beer Pairing Dinner on Thursday, July 20 from 5:30-8:00pm at the Port of Skagit restaurant.
Skagit Landing’s Executive Chef Josie Urbick has curated a delicious menu that features locally sourced ingredients, with beer pairings that complement the flavors of each dish.
“I’m very excited about this collaboration with Chuckanut Brewery,” said Urbick. “I had such fun creating this summer beer pairing dinner menu, and finding the ingredients that would not only showcase the individual beers, but the opportunity it provides to feature the very best of local Skagit Valley producers.”
Chuckanut Brewery founders and craft brewing pioneers, Will and Mari Kemper will be on hand to chat all things beer during the evening, too.
A Culinary Journey Featuring 5 Beers & 5 Courses with Chef Josie Urbick
WELCOME BITE
Peppered Seared Tuna, with a light Tahini Sauce, and Crispy Wontons.
Served with a Pilsner
WELCOMING APPETIZER
Smoked Salmon Crepe, with preserved Lemon & Caper Cream Cheese.
Served with a Kolsch
SALAD
Pretzel Croutons, Samish Bay Chipotle Cheddar, Bacon Bits, & Baby Romaine tossed in an Orange-Maple Dijon Vinaigrette.
Served with a Skagit Tulip Beer
MAIN COURSE
Beer-braised Pork Cheek, with Caramelized Onion & Cinnamon Cap Mushroom, served on Creamy Polenta.
Served with a Dunkel Lager
DESSERT
Lemon Curd Tartlet, with Glazed Strawberries & Meringue.
Served with a Helles Lager
