Gigantic Brewing Releases 2021 MASSIVE! Barleywine and Three MASSIVE! Barleywine Variants
As we celebrate Thanksgiving weekend, Gigantic Brewing has once again released its MASSIVE! Barleywine to the public. For the 2021 release, Gigantic Brewing has released the standard barrel-aged version of MASSIVE! Barleywine along with three variants, each from special, unique barrels.
Gigantic cuts no corners when it brews MASSIVE! Barleywine as it uses just one malt and then boils it for over 8 hours to create a barleywine with a deep ruby color and rich malt flavor. For this year’s release, the brew team when with Skagit Wintmalt, and then aged the beer in select bourbon barrels. Gigantic recommends to enjoy the richness and intensity now or after years and years and years of aging.
The three variants of MASSIVE! Barleywine are unique as barrels of Highland Scotch, Islay Scotch and Anejo Mezcal were used to age each variant. The result is MASSIVE! Barleywine Highland Scotch, MASSIVE! Barleywine Islay Scotch, and MASSIVE! Barleywine Anejo Mezcal!
As per previous releases of MASSIVE! Barleywine, the label was created by the talented AJ Fosik. Make sure to follow AJ on Instagram at: instagram.com/ajfosik.
