Richard Bobkin died while hiking the Siouxon Trail a mountain bike trail in Gifford Pinchot. Belmont Station will celebrate his life on Thursday the 14th from 6-9pm and again on Saturday evening.
I was shocked and saddened when I heard the news. I will miss “Jersey” Rich and our lively conversations about beer and life. Whenever I would stop by Belmount Station, he was usually one of the first people to greet me. He was a great guy and will really be missed.

Hey Jack, I did work at Rotor Clip for a few years with another Steve that was an Old Bay regular as well. I am the truck driver Steve. You know Huey, he took a 5 hour ride from Bellingham to pay his respects and talked about you and Tony Romeo for a bit. He also brought an old pic of Bobkin wrestling with some beer gear in the back of a pickup truck. Look me up on facebook if you want to see some recent photos and videos. I wish I could hoist a pint with you guys at the Old Bay, take care.

On behalf of my brother Mitch, just wanted to thank all of Rich’s friends, both on the West Coast and here in Jersey, who came together to express their love for my baby brother. It means a lot to us to know that Rich touched the lives of so many, and that he will be remembered for the unique guy that he was.
