Culmination Brewing Releases Three New Beers This Week

One brewery that seems to be on a roll is Culmination Brewing as it continues to release many new beers in its short history. On Wednesday, December 7th, the brewery will release two new beers, one at its brewery and the other at Imperial. Then on Thursday, December 8th, Culmination releases a beer a new beer at Loyal Legion as a brewery spotlight for the weekend. The beers being released are Funky Punch, Fumé de Miel Smoked Honey Saison, and Loyal To A Fault.

Funky Punch is a cured key lime, cranberry Gose that’s blended with a Flanders-Style Red Ale that sits at an approachable 6.0% ABV. The beer’s described as follows. The cherries, cranberries and mild salinity, in this beer, make this offering sour, juicy and refreshing. On the nose you get ripe berries and citrus aroma. On the tongue you feel light carbonation, which lends a “punch” like body to this beer’s bright acidity.

Also on Wednesday, Culmination Brewing will release a collaboration beer with Imperial, one of Portland’s finest restaurants. This we feel is a huge win for the brewery as having a beer on tap at Imperial will expose this relatively young brewery to an entirely new clientele. To create Fumé de Miel Smoked Honey Saison, Culmination collaborated with Imperial Chef de Cuisine Matthew Jarrell and General Manager Eric Bigger to design and brew this food centric beer. Fumé de Miel Smoked Honey Saison began when 20 lbs of honey was smoked in the Imperial kitchen and was then added to a simple saison at Culmination to ferment. This limited edition saison will only be available at Imperial and the Culmination Taproom in bottles and limited draft. Imperial is located in downtown Portland at 410 SW Broadway.

Then to close out the week from Thursday, December 8 through Sunday, December 11, Culmination Brewing will be the featured brewery at Loyal Legion. Culmination with the assistance from the staff at Loyal Legion blended Loyal To A Fault, a special barrel-aged sour blend, made with nectarines and raspberries. In addition to Loyal To A Fault, Culmination will have six additional beers pouring over the weekend. Loyal Legion is located at 705 SE 6th Avenue.
