With the upcoming extended Independence Day Weekend, Block 15 Brewery will be mixing it up a bit with is monthly beer release. For the month of July Block 15 is set to release Strawberry Fields and Red, White & BOOM!. Beginning on Friday, July 1st, Block 15 Brewery & Tap Room on the southside of Corvallis will begin selling both offerings. Then on Saturday, July 2nd, both locations will be selling both beers, while supplies last.
Here are descriptions on the two released provided by Block 15 Brewery.
Wild Golden Farmhouse with Strawberries
Strawberry Fields features a blend of one-year-old barrel-matured farmhouse ales, conditioned on locally grown strawberries picked at their peak of ripeness. It pours a hazy orange, tinted with a subtle pink hue from the strawberries. Prickly carbonation generates a robust, but fleeting head. Resting the beer for a few minutes after opening allows vibrant aromas to open up—including pungent strawberry freezer jam, a touch of spicy funk, and tangerine. A medium-dry body and clean acidity provide a refreshing balance that finishes light on the palate.
7% ABV Limit – 6 bottles per person – $11 per 500mL bottle
Red, White & BOOM!
Independent Patriotic Ale
Red, White & BOOM! pours a beautiful sunrise yellow, with medium carbonation supporting a nice, white head. Bursting hop aromas include waves of mango, spruce, freedom herb, and subtle tangerine. The flavor follows the nose, with additional notes of papaya and citrus. A medium body and a soft mouthfeel combine with minimal, gently-balancing bitterness to create an Independent Patriotic Ale that is as drinkable as it is flavorful—perfect for barbecues, rafting, and living the PNW life.
7% ABV – 1 case per person – $3.25 per 16oz can (plus deposit)
