The latest and last seasonal beer release for the year from McMenamins is currently pouring at all of the McMenamins locations throughout Oregon and Washington. Kris Kringle Traditional Yuletide Ale is a nice approachable holiday seasonal that is tasting exceptionally well this year.
For 2015 the brewers at McMenamins have created a hearty and robust Kris Kringle Ale that is an exceptionally balanced beer of a malt backbone and a flavorful hop presence. The brewers used Centennial and Cascade Hops that were balanced by a malt bill that featured Pale Ale, Munich, Wheat, 15L & 120L Crystal, and Chocolate Malts. Then some ginger and cinnamon were added into the batch but the spices are a little more subdued than in years’ past to make this one of the better winter seasonals this year with a 6.4% ABV.
Don’t delay, as Kris Kringle Traditional Yuletide Ale will be disappearing when Santa arrives on December 25.
