The Lompoc brewers will be doing the mash at the release party for their Halloween seasonal, Monster Mash. The Monster Mash Bash will take place October 1st from 4 to 10PM at Sidebar.
An Imperial Porter, Monster Mash features strong chocolate and roast flavors with a touch of red fruit. It weighs in at 8% ABV and 50 IBUs. It will be available on draft and in 22 oz. bottles at all Lompoc locations and in select stores. The Monster Mash Bash will also highlight ’09 Bourbon Barrel Aged Monster Mash. Brewed on August 21 2009, this batch was aged in Bourbon barrels for 11 months and cellared for an additional two. This Imperial Porter has a slight Bourbon aroma with chocolate and licorice flavors finishing with vanilla notes (8% ABV).
“Then on Tuesday October 5th,” says Lompoc brewer Zach Beckwith, “we’re releasing all three of our fresh hop beers at the New Old Lompoc starting at 4PM. Fresh Hop Harvestman Red, Ale-conner Fresh Hop ESB, and Crystal Missile Fresh Hop Pale were all made with fresh crystal hops from Sodbuster Farms and will be on tap for the first time along with complimentary appetizers.”
Beckwith adds “We’re also serving up 2008 Oak Aged SaazAll Pilsner, 2009 Das Goat Mai Bock, Double Dry Hopped C-Note, Fool’s Golden Ale, and some kick-ass appetizers. Come join us for a graveyard smash!”
